Cutting Depth: 4mm
Classification: Standard (Yellow)
This specialized Router Bit is meticulously engineered for cutting the precise slots required for biscuit jointing
(also known as plate joinery), a method used to create strong, perfectly aligned joints in woodworking.
Featuring a 4mm kerf (the width of the cut), this bit is designed to accommodate standard No. 20 biscuits, which are
the most common size used in cabinet making, furniture construction, and frame assembly. It must be used in
conjunction with a router and typically requires a specific jig or fence setup to ensure accurate slot positioning.
Constructed from industrial-grade carbide, this bit provides exceptional durability and a clean, splinter-free cut
in various materials, including plywood, particle board, and natural hardwoods, making it an indispensable tool for
achieving professional-quality joinery.
Application:
- Router bits are for use with router machines only.
- Be sure that at least 3/4 of the shaft length is inserted into the router collet.
- Do not ‘bottom-out’ the bit in the collet. The shank should be 1/8′ from the bottom of the collet.
- Route in two or more passes when large amounts of stock must be removed.
