The substantial 10 x 50 mm format provides a large bearing and gluing area, making it particularly suitable for robust furniture, cabinetry, frames and other interior joinery where high joint strength is required. Unlike conventional round dowels, the elongated DOMINO profile is inherently resistant to rotation, immediately stabilising the components being joined. Laterally projecting guide ribs centre each DOMINO accurately within the routed mortise, while specially formed glue pockets and longitudinal grooves distribute adhesive throughout the joint and allow excess glue to escape during assembly.
