Maykestag Speedcut Universal Solid Carbide Ballnose End Mill 20.00mm R10 Z4 ALUNIT-S High-performance 20mm Maykestag Speedcut Universal solid carbide ballnose end mill with 10mm radius, four flutes, variable 35°–38° spiral angles and ALUNIT-S coating. The long-series, necked design with DIN 6535-HA cylindrical shank is designed for universal milling applications where controlled cutting performance, smooth running and excellent surface quality are required. The Maykestag Code 7357 Speedcut Universal is a high-performance solid carbide ballnose end mill designed for universal machining applications. This 20.00mm version features a 10mm ballnose radius , four cutting edges and unequal spiral angles of 35°–38° . The variable spiral geometry helps promote smooth, vibration-reduced running and consistent machining performance across a broad range of materials. Manufactured from solid carbide and finished with a ALUNIT-S coating , the tool combines high rigidity and wear resistance with a long-series, necked geometry. The 20mm shank is manufactured to h6 tolerance and uses a DIN 6535-HA cylindrical shank. The 20mm version has an overall length of 104mm, an effective cutting length of 30mm and a 54mm neck length. What is a ballnose end mill? A ballnose end mill has a hemispherical cutting end that allows the tool to machine contoured surfaces, 3D profiles, moulds, dies and other curved geometries. The rounded cutting profile produces a continuous radius across the tool tip, making ballnose cutters particularly useful where smooth transitions and controlled surface finish are required. Product highlights • Speedcut Universal: Maykestag's high-performance universal solid carbide milling solution for demanding machining applications. • 20.00mm cutting diameter: Large-diameter geometry for efficient material removal and finishing of larger contoured surfaces. • 10mm ballnose radius: Full-radius cutting geometry for profiling, contouring and 3D surface machining. • Four-flute design: Four cutting edges provide a productive balance between cutting engagement, stability and surface finish. • Unequal 35°–38° spiral angles: Variable helix geometry promotes smooth, vibration-reduced running and helps support good surface quality. • ALUNIT-S coating: Maykestag coating for demanding carbide milling applications and increased resistance to wear. • Solid carbide construction: High rigidity and dimensional stability for precision machining. • Long-series, necked design: Provides extended reach for machining deeper contours and profiles. • DIN 6527L: Manufactured as a long solid carbide milling tool according to the specified standard. • DIN 6535-HA shank: Cylindrical shank configuration for standard toolholding systems. • d2 h6 shank tolerance: Precision 20mm shank for accurate toolholding. • Long 104mm overall length: Provides additional reach for extended machining requirements. • 30mm effective length: Substantial cutting length for contouring and profiling operations. Why Choose Maykestag? Maykestag develops precision solid carbide cutting tools with carefully controlled geometry, coating and manufacturing tolerances. For complex milling operations, the combination of tool rigidity, cutting geometry and surface finish performance is critical to achieving consistent results. The Code 7357 Speedcut Universal combines four-flute ballnose geometry, unequal 35°–38° spiral angles, a long necked design and ALUNIT-S coating in a versatile tool intended for universal machining. The 20mm version is particularly useful where a large-radius cutting profile and extended tool reach are required. Designed for Smooth Contouring and Profiling The ballnose geometry of the Speedcut Universal allows the cutter to follow curved surfaces and three-dimensional contours while maintaining a consistent cutting radius. The unequal 35°–38° spiral angles are designed to promote a smooth, vibration-reduced cutting action, supporting good machining stability and surface quality. The long, necked configuration provides additional clearance and reach when machining recessed or contoured features. With its four-flute construction , solid carbide body and ALUNIT-S coating , the Code 7357 is suited to a broad range of professional milling operations.
