Maykestag Solid Carbide End Mill Speedcut-Aluminium 25.00mm Z4 Weldon Professional 25.00mm Maykestag Speedcut-Aluminium solid carbide end mill manufactured in Type W geometry with four cutting edges, variable 34°-38° helix angles and a long-series necked design. Uncoated and manufactured to DIN 6527L with a DIN 6535-HB Weldon shank, it is particularly suitable for high-performance machining of aluminium, including both cast and wrought aluminium alloys. The Maykestag Code 7950 Speedcut-Aluminium is a high-performance solid carbide end mill designed especially for machining aluminium materials. Its long-series, necked construction provides extended reach while the specialised cutting geometry is designed to promote excellent chip breaking and chip transportation, high cutting volumes and superior surface quality. The 25.00mm version is the largest diameter in the Code 7950 range and uses four cutting edges (Z4) , whereas the smaller sizes in the series use three cutting edges. The tool has a 25mm h6 shank , 120mm overall length, 45mm effective cutting length and 62mm neck length. A 0.30mm 45° protection chamfer provides additional edge protection at the tool end. The DIN 6535-HB Weldon shank provides a positive flat for secure toolholding. What is a Speedcut-Aluminium end mill? A Speedcut-Aluminium end mill is a solid carbide milling cutter developed specifically for the high-performance machining of aluminium alloys. Its application-focused cutting geometry is designed to provide efficient chip evacuation, high material removal rates and excellent surface quality. The necked long-series design also allows machining where additional tool reach is required. Product highlights • Maykestag Code 7950: Professional Speedcut-Aluminium solid carbide end mill for high-performance aluminium machining. • 25.00mm cutting diameter: Large-diameter configuration for demanding aluminium milling applications. • Four cutting edges: The 25mm size uses a Z4 configuration for efficient cutting performance and high material removal rates. • Type W geometry: Application-specific geometry developed for aluminium machining. • 34°-38° variable helix: Different spiral angles promote smooth cutting behaviour, reduced vibration and efficient chip transport. • Long series, necked design: Provides extended tool reach for machining deeper or less accessible areas. • Solid carbide construction: High-performance carbide construction provides the rigidity and cutting performance required for demanding milling operations. • Uncoated cutting edges: Optimised for the intended aluminium machining application. • DIN 6527L: Manufactured to the specified standard for solid carbide milling cutters. • DIN 6535-HB Weldon shank: Shank configuration with a Weldon flat for positive toolholding. • 45° protection chamfer: 0.30mm protection chamfer helps protect the tool edge. • Aluminium specialist: Particularly suitable for both cast and wrought aluminium alloys. • HSC / HPC capable: Suitable for high-speed and high-performance machining applications when the correct cutting data and machining conditions are used. Why Choose Maykestag Speedcut-Aluminium? Maykestag develops specialised solid carbide milling cutters with carefully controlled cutting geometries for demanding professional machining applications. The Speedcut-Aluminium range is specifically engineered for aluminium materials, where efficient chip evacuation, high cutting performance and excellent surface quality are important. The Code 7950 combines a solid carbide construction with a variable 34°-38° helix, application-specific Type W geometry and a necked long-series design. The 25.00mm tool uses four cutting edges to provide efficient machining performance at this larger diameter, while the DIN 6535-HB Weldon shank provides positive tool location in a suitable toolholder. Designed for High-Performance Aluminium Milling Aluminium machining demands effective chip evacuation and a cutting geometry that can maintain high material removal rates without compromising surface quality. The Speedcut-Aluminium geometry incorporates a carefully optimised cutting design to promote excellent chip breaking and chip transport while maintaining a smooth tool surface. The long, necked configuration provides additional reach for machining deeper contours and difficult-to-access areas. The variable 34°-38° helix contributes to smooth running and efficient chip transport, while the four-flute configuration of the 25.00mm tool provides efficient cutting engagement for demanding aluminium milling operations.
