Spade drill bits can be used to drill in: • Hard wood • Soft wood • Chipboard • MDF • Plywood Manufactured from High carbon steel. Spade bits are also known as paddle bits or butterfly bits. Standard vs. Pro series: Notice the two different spade bits in the picture on the left. The one is a standard spade bit and the other is a Pro series spade bit.
